Alaska! Two summers ago...we drove through this cloud. 35mm film scanned negatives.

My high school under construction.

My postings will likely be very erratic over the next week, I'm moving to the Upper East Side and I'm not sure what my computer/internet access will be like.

I may have to post pictures that aren't mine, but that I find interesting...we'll see.

Charlie has the best screen presence of anyone I know.

And yeah, that is his finger going into Mike's nose.

Another picture from memphis...this was taken inside the Museum of the Mississippi. I was alone, I had my camera....the museum was interesting, but let me loose with my camera and I'll take a picture of anything. Even this.

I did a little photoshopping of the self-portrait- I cropped out the lower part, took some mirror streaks off my face.

The road to Nashville. Out the window of Emily's Jeep. The Jeep now belongs to someone else...maybe that guy by the side of the highway in Nashville who still runs the confederate flag. 10 of them. I should have gotten a picture of that for you guys. Next time.

Amazin'

This is the first self-portrait I've posted. Self-portraits are always strange for me. I don't think I look particularly good in photos usually, and so when I have to do a portrait, I find myself doing weird things with the camera or my face. I don't spend much time looking in the mirror, so maybe that's why I don't like seeing a self-image--kind of like how you it's jarring to hear your voice recorded.

My house in Milton...taken from the same location as "Turner's" (below), but with the camera turned around (and at night, of course). Night photography's pretty interesting to me and something I want to do more of.

LINKS! One of the more interesting newsphotos recently:

Lightning over the Ballpark in Arlington

PS: Anyone who comes here is awesome. You know who you are.

This is in the bathroom of a trendy Lower East Side bar, above the urinal. We had just come from a bar called Welcome to the Johnsons'. Welcome to the Johnsons' has $2 PBR. And it smells like gym socks.

I don't remember the name of the bar I took this picture at, because I'm pretty sure we stayed long enough to use the bathroom and took off. The lower east side is funny that way.

Michael Newman keeps watch on the set of Julius Caesar. If I could nap, I would have been sleeping too.
There's some weird digital stuff going on in this picture, too. Digital cameras seem to do weird things with light---the picture below RUNS the neon across the whole frame, and here it looks like a flare becomes a grey cloud in the upper left.

If anyone knows how to effectively get rid of that in photoshop, please let me know.

Turner's.
